The objects of the club are to foster, instruct and promote the art of fly tying, fly-casting and the betterment of trout fishing among its members, and all other activities of a similar nature which may be deemed desirable for the benefit of its members.
2010 MEETING DATES (Winter and Spring), programs to be determined.
Meetings start at 7:30pm at the Queen Mary Park Community Hall on 117St and 108 Ave.
February 2nd – Nick Sliwkanich from the new Wholesale Sports store will be along to let us know what’s happening in the store’s flyfishing department, what new products are available etc and to answer questions. Nick also does some guiding at Fortress Lake and some central Alberta streams and may tell a tale or two about some great fishing. Nick will also advise members that Wholesale Sports is now willing to offer club members a discount on everything in the store except firearms provided that you show a valid membership card.
February 16th – AGM – Elect the executive for 2010-11, vote on the budget and discuss notices of motion. If you’d be willing to serve on the executive please let any current executive know. We need your help for the Club to continue, especially in the roles of treasurer, director, and Newsletter editor that will be vacant.
There will also be a brief presentation by Kerry Pitt on the Healing Waters Project
March 2 - Program to be announced
March 16th - The ANNUAL AUCTION is scheduled and we need your help. Please let Ron Sohnle or Gregg Johnston know what stores, restaurants, companies etc you’d be willing to contact re a possible donation of goods or services. An introductory letter on Club letterhead will be provided for you to use. Please consider your local Safeways, SaveOn, Rona, Canadian Tire, garage, pizzeria, hardware store etc – anywhere you shop.

June 13th - Spring Barbecue at the property. Please mark this one down in your diary so that we have a good turnout for this important event. Thank you!
